Iceland
This week Robson’s heading to Iceland…..and it’s not for frozen peas! This is a country with thousands of miles of coastline and rivers, where nobody lives but the fish. Robson gets his thermals on and starts his challenge on the remote rugged volcanic island of Westman. His first opponent is a man who’s forefathers all fished these icy seas for a living. He caught his first Cod aged seven and is too proud to even consider being beaten by Robson. In fact he’s so sure he bets his house, boat and car on it. In his Icelandic challenge Robson travels around the country using some unusual methods of transport, from super trucks to Shetland ponies, all with the aim to fishing in the most beautiful and bountiful waters the country has to offer. A dramatic encounter with a ferocious Wolf Fish, a cliff top battle against a huge Icelandic Viking and landing his biggest Brown Trout ever make this episode one to remember for Robson.

Hawaii
This week Robson travels on a 24hr journey via Los Angeles to a spot slap bang in the middle of the North Pacific. The fishing Mecca of Hawaii. It’s a record-busting place with the wettest spot on earth, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, and if you measure from the sea floor…the biggest mountain on earth. This is a wet and wild fishing paradise which Robson has always dreamed of fishing. His first challenge for Pacific Blue Marlin is unexpectedly interrupted when Robson gets robbed by a Dolphin. Then he slips into a wetsuit and braves the rapids of the Waipio River hunting for Giant Prawns. This really is ‘Prawn In The USA’! Robson meets his match in his third challenge, a man who has presented his own fishing show for 11 years, is an expert fisherman and believes he’s better ‘on camera’ than Robson is. There’s more to this challenge than just fish! Being caught in a tropical storm on a flimsy kayak miles out to sea gives Robson a real taste of fear, and night fishing on slippy rocks almost puts him in the back of an ambulance.

South Africa
This week Robson travels 6000 miles to the most southerly point on the African Continent. It’s a wild and rugged landscape whose waters are home to nearly 100 species of shark, a fitting location for Robson’s Extreme Fishing Challenge! In his first showdown against this fishing obsessed nation, Robson comes face to face with their number one ranked fly-fisherman. Thankfully help is at hand from the titan of trout, the sultan of salmon, his very own uncle Matheson from Newcastle! When a shark fishing contest in Cape Town goes wrong, Robson is forced to face his fears as he finds himself comparing dental notes with a Great White Shark. An attempt at Ski-Boat fishing in treacherous waves, a day out with a bunch of commercial Snoek fishermen and entry into the prestigious Richards Bay Bill Fish Tournament give Robson a serious run for his money!

South Australia
This week Robson Green makes a grueling 24 hour journey to the other side of the world. A place where men are men….sheep are nervous….and fish swim deep. The Jaw dropping and bountiful shores of South Australia. For his first Extreme Fishing Challenge, Robson meets a man who’s bark is equal to his bite in an all species challenge against one of the countries toughest deep sea anglers. Keeping the heat turned up his next challenge is against a South Australian Olympic boxer. Robson will have to float like a butterfly, sting like a bee and think like a fish! A hunt for the biggest fish in Australia, the mighty Murray Cod, and a spear fishing battle against an Aboriginal Community on Dead Mans Island mean victory here will be hard won.

New Zealand
This week Robson’s Extreme Fishing Challenge takes place in a country that’s an epic 32 hour flight from Newcastle. It’s the place every angler dreams of fishing…New Zealand. Robson starts with a ‘rock hopping’ challenge. Dropped onto inaccessible islands and craggy rocks by helicopter, this is an extreme form of angling that requires an extreme form of angler. Teaming up with two fiercely proud ex-pat Brits Robson takes on the might of a local All Black angling team. Unfortunately things don’t quite go to plan! A day’s fly fishing in the unexplored rivers where The Lord of The Rings was filmed, a bout of traditional Eel fishing and a brush with a brazen Albatross give Robson an extreme challenge to remember!

Mauritius
This week Robson’s off to a country you’d normally associate with romance and honeymoons – but he’s going for a completely different reason. Its home to the marlin world cup, it’s got the third largest coral reef in the world, and well – it’s the idyllic paradise island of Mauritius! Robson jumps in at the deep end with some dangerous surf casting against a man most locals won’t fish against. Standing chin deep in the thundering surf gives Robson a serious wake up call and a pretty amazing Barracuda! Then its hunting time…as Robson struggles to find one of the best kept secrets on the island, a private lake filled with Large Mouth Bass. There’s a very early start when he takes on a local fisherman who handlines for Tuna six miles off shore and a battle of minds when Robson tracks down and challenges the very man who first thought him to deep sea fish. Its master versus apprentice!
